Position: Director of Practice Operations Location: Boston, MA Job Type: Direct Hire OR Contract-to-Hire Duration: 6 months to start if contract
Job Description
The Director of Practice Operations is accountable for leading and directing a team which includes 25 plus dental professionals. This group includes approximately 7 Practice Administrators (PAs) and 20 plus Dental Assistants (DAs).
Key Responsibilities:
Leads and manages a team of PAs and DAs.
Guides teams through conflict resolution and problem solving
Designs, measures, and produces KPIs and Operational metrics (example, chair utilization)
Accountable for leading all patient relations, including ADA coordination, interfacing with advocacy groups and ensuring the abiding of all regulations
Partners with the Dental Residents on a daily basis
Leads the optimization of entry-points for scheduling and other process improvements in the Call Center
Note – the role is not responsible for managing the front desk or the billing teams
Skills & Experience:
Must have several years of successful experience leading a team of 20+ people in an operation/health care practice, preferable a large dental practice, would accept hospital related experience.
Must be an experienced leader of teams.
Must have a professional presence, be polished, skilled in presentations, and have strong writing skills.
The role requires strong leadership skills, including expertise in developing and mentoring team members.
