Job Description:
  • Researches, designs, develops, implements, tests and maintains modules within practice management, clinical or financial applications which support the organizations Practices.
  • Embodies the Hospital’ s core values in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Participate as a project team member on practice specific or organization wide projects as assigned.
  • Work with the Epic Administrative Application Team Lead to monitor product development and work with vendor to keep staff current on all system optimizations and upgrades.
  • Performing in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software.  Understanding the choices involved in application configuration, and impact/opinions of end-users
  • Develops and maintains proper documentation of support and customization materials for the activities and tasks assigned.
  • Prepare and keep current documentation for internal processes, system work-flow, and testing scripts
  • Support training and implementations, as needed.
  • Provider Tier-2 support for the application and troubleshooting problems and questions from end users
  • Analyzing new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used
  • Be part of the team to review and test each new release
  • Familiar with physician practices' workflows and patient experiences within your organization
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:
  • Must be Epic Cadence and/or Prelude Analyst Certified.
  • Work requires the knowledge of theories, principles, and concepts typically acquired through completion of a Bachelor’ s degree in Clinical, Business, Engineering, Computer Science or licensed healthcare professional desirable and/or four plus years of previous related experience.
  • Work requires the analytical skills to resolve highly complex problems requiring the application or technical principles, theories and concepts and in? depth, cross? functional experienced? based knowledge.
  • Work requires communication skills in order to effectively deal with conflicting views or issues and mediate fair solutions, or well? developed writing skills.
  • Work requires experience with Electronic Health Records, Practice Management Systems software and applications.
  • Experience working with process owners and users in gathering requirements, creating specifications, system design, and application design
  • Minimum of 3 years of implementation experience as an Epic Cadence or Prelude Analyst.
  • Requires travel to Epic headquarters in Verona, WI to attend training classes, as needed.
