HR Project Manager

This position is responsible for the successful implementation of large and very large cross-functional programs and projects in support of Human Resources. This person leads project teams through planning and execution, and monitors and controls the project through the project lifecycle. This person may also direct the work of other Project Managers assigned to the project/program, and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead large to very large cross-functional programs and projects
  • Plan, execute and control projects through the project lifecycle
  • Utilize influence skills to help achieve project results
  • Manage program/project scope, schedule and cost, following an established change management process
  • Assist with project procurement activities - requests for information, requests for proposal, contract negotiation
  • Manage project staffing efforts
  • Work with Project Owners, other Project team members to manage project quality
  • Facilitate program/project communications, working with sponsors and other leaders/contributors
  • Work with the project team and key stakeholders to identify issues and risks, and to implement correction action plans or risk response plans as appropriate

  • At least ten years experience in application development project management role with demonstrated skills in relationship building, negotiation, conflict resolution, and project management of complex projects
  • At least 10 years of Human Resource Project experience, delivering projects that span the full enterprise.
  • Successful track record of completing projects on time, on budget and within scope
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodology and its practical application towards completing work
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven relationship management, negotiation and organization skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team, set priorities and meet deadlines on multiple projects
  • Creative and assertive with the ability to mentor others
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred
  • 4-year degree preferred
  • Experience in the Human Resource communications and analytics is required
