Position: IT Manager - Data Warehouse
Location: Remote, Kansas City
Job Type: Direct Hire

SKILLS REQUIRED:
Technical:
  • Strong knowledge of BI/DW, data modeling, transformation, data analysis and tools
  • Strong understanding of data governance design and implementation and how data quality is a key component for the management of master data
  • Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to apply discretion and sound judgement to efficiently and effectively solve problems
  • Ability to drive results and balance management of organizational risk and meeting goals of the business
  • Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate team members and foster a positive team environment that gives way to collaboration and unified goals
  • Outstanding interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the company, clearly expressing ideas and concepts both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to remain adaptable and resilient to all situations with an optimistic outlook and cast a positive shadow that is aligned with our culture and Core Values
  • Intermediate to Advance level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
Deliverable / Statement of Work:        
  • Direct work, assign projects and manage technical execution of development projects for a team of developer/analysts
  • Partner with enterprise architects to deliver technical innovations in support of emerging business needs and progressing these ideas from concepts to experiments to scaled models with focus on flexibility, reuse, and overarching extensibility
  • Manage line of business relationships, create and enforce policies for effective data management
  • Formulate techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy and legitimacy of data
  • Manage the budget of enterprise data warehouse and related tools
  • Lead, mentor and motivate team members to implement the department strategy and manage department workflow with guidance on departmental projects/issues, and provide coaching and development opportunities appropriate to each direct report's individual needs
  • Perform all necessary management functions, including hiring, evaluations, annual increase allocations and disciplinary action as required
  • Communicate decisions, priorities and relevant information to team members effectively
  • Support budget management, planning and expenditure
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience         
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • 7+ years relational databases and ETL or related experience required
  • 4+ years leadership/supervisory experience required
  • Experience in architecting Master Data solutions that integrate multiple systems and data through application consolidation, migration, conversion, application integration and data integration preferred
  • Experience of data governance design and implementation and understanding how data quality is a key component for the management of master data preferred
  • Experience with Visio Experience in architecting Master Data solutions that integrate multiple systems and data through application consolidation/ migration / conversion, application integration and data integration preferred
