Required Skill Sets: Prior experience managing an IT helpdesk, healthcare experience preferred.
Under the direction of the Executive Director of IT, the Manager of IT Operations is responsible for implementing, managing and optimizing IT Operations for the organization. The role is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the IT service desk and help desk functions; providing direction to team members as required, managing IT services (change, incident, requests, project management, and managing IT Operations Budget); addressing team HR issues, and managing IT vendors. This also includes the responsibility of supporting the Executive Director with strategic planning, setting departmental goals, establishing operating procedures, managing strategic relationships with external entities (e.g. executives, vendors, physicians, partners), and participating at the executive level in planning and operations meetings.
The Manager of IT Operations will need to: exhibit leadership for the IT Operations team, demonstrate a focus on customers, deliver innovative solutions to complex problems, be organized, and be a highly effective communicator. The Manager of IT Operations should be knowledgeable of data center operations, cybersecurity standards, contemporary IT practices, contemporary IT standards and have experience/knowledge of the technology/vendors in use at the organization (Cisco, Microsoft, EMC, Verizon, AT&T, Siemens, Meditech, etc).
