Position: IT Project Manager, Infrastructure
Location: Boston, MA - Hybrid remote/onsite
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 6+ months

Job Description:
Looking for candidates with solid background in project management with experience in infrastructure projects.

Job Summary:

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of and proficiency in PMIs project management methodology and practices.
• Manages projects of average complexity and risk.
• Exhibits advanced skills in estimating and the use of project management tools.
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge in creating detailed documentation, including project charters, work plans and budgets.
• Communicates effectively in both oral and written communications with project staff, sponsors, and stakeholders.
• Coaches other team members.
• Manages project teams of 4 to 8 team members.
• Able to work independently.

Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Project Manager II encompass identical responsibilities as a Project Manager I but, with a greater degree of complexity. A Project Manager II also:

• Manages all operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects (may include installation of application modules)
• Ensures timely delivery of all project objectives and documentation.
• Communicates relevant project plans and alternatives, including risk analyses and mitigation strategies, to project team, sponsor(s), and stakeholders.
• Prepares written documentation in support of projects.
• Monitors project budgets
• Manages project work plans.
• Oversees vendor resources and raises risks and issues to sponsor(s) as appropriate
• Issues Project Status Reports.
• Coaches Project Coordinators and Analysts.
• Is a champion of project management methodology.
