Position: Infrastructure Project Manager Location: Philadelphia, PA - some remote flex, but must be local to PA to be able to go onsite Job Type: Contract Duration: 3 months to start, plus potential for extension
Job Summary:
Demonstrates advanced knowledge of and proficiency in PMIs project management methodology and practices.
Manages projects of average complexity and risk.
Exhibits advanced skills in estimating and the use of project management tools.
Demonstrates advanced knowledge in creating detailed documentation, including project charters, work plans and budgets.
Communicates effectively in both oral and written communications with project staff, sponsors, and stakeholders.
Coaches other team members.
Manages project teams of 4 to 8 team members.
Able to work independently.
Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of a Project Manager II encompass identical responsibilities as a Project Manager I but, with a greater degree of complexity. A Project Manager II also:
Manages all operational and tactical aspects of assigned projects (may include installation of application modules)
Ensures timely delivery of all project objectives and documentation.
Communicates relevant project plans and alternatives, including risk analyses and mitigation strategies, to project team, sponsor(s), and stakeholders.
Prepares written documentation in support of projects.
Monitors project budgets
Manages project work plans.
Oversees vendor resources and raises risks and issues to sponsor(s) as appropriate
Issues Project Status Reports.
Coaches Project Coordinators and Analysts.
Is a champion of project management methodology.
