Job Description
General/Position Summary
The GMP Operational Quality Assurance Engineer primarily supports the warehousing and vendor management activities to accomplish the quality assurance and regulatory compliance. The incumbent supports or executes a wide range of activities and supports new/existing project initiatives.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform quality activities for incoming materials (including sterilized materials) from receipt through release of materials and maintain Quality Records.
  • Supports quality related supplier approval, onboarding, and management activities.
  • Support all warehouse qualification and validation activities.
  • Monitors metrics and dashboards for various quality system trends and vendor management
  • Support development of processes and procedures to report on, manage, and mitigate vendor risk to acceptable levels. This includes, at a minimum, drafting and revising Quality Agreements between CMOs/Vendors and the company, as needed
  • Helps represent Quality on cross-functional working teams, applying strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Identifies and facilitates continuous improvement efforts
  • Support other activities as directed by the QA management
Required Education Level
  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or allied health field (or comparable degree)
  • Basic knowledge on sterilization concepts and familiarity with Ethylene Oxide and Stam sterilization
Required Experience
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Excel in an environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision making and flexibility.
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Willing to make a significant contribution to a multi-disciplinary team, must be self-motivated to take action
  • The incumbent will have a background, experience and/or understanding in Medical Device Quality Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support evaluation of quality matters and solve straightforward problems using technical experience and judgement that includes Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and CAPA.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet quality, accuracy, and timeliness objectives
