Position: Liferay Architect
Location: Remote
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 7 months
Job Description
Candidates provided must be pre-screened to ensure they fully meet the qualifications and experience level requirements.
- Total 8+ years' of technical experience working with web based applications support and development on Linux using Java, SpringBoot, Camel and Java functional programming.
- Minimum 6+ years of experience in an end-to-end implementation of Liferay DXP Portal
- Strong Experience with GIT, DevOps tools Jenkins CI/CD, and utilization of the software development life cycle in an Agile environment-Good understanding of web portal technology
- Strong Liferay development experience & Liferay's DXP core APIs (portlets, hooks, listeners, themes, layouts, extensions, SSO, Roles Permissions, IPC, I18N)
- Demonstrated experience in Liferay platform upgrades
- Strong Liferay experience in Web contents, templates, structures, blogs, threads, message board, knowledge base
- Experience in LR deployment on Cloud platform AWS
- Technical experience with Java script, PostGreSQL, CSS, Bootstrap.
- Candidate must possess strong teamwork, interpersonal, and problem solving skills, as well as excellent written and verbal communications skills
Primary Responsibilities
- Day to day development and support of internal and external web based applications on Linux servers written in Spring Boot, Liferay DXP, PL/SQL, and PostGres DB.
- Perform application upgrades, patches to Liferay platforms and web applications
- Troubleshoot issues by identifying root cause and develop a plan for problem resolution.
- Identify and re-mediate web related vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Utilize the software development life cycle and manage production business processes to resolve software problems and improvements by writing user change requests and functional specifications.
- Design, program, implement code, test, install and configure applications.
- Work in a team environment to support users and other technical staff.
- Learn client business processes and adhere to client software and change management and IT standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in programming in web technologies
