Job Description
The Manager of Business Capability and Value is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership, planning, directions, insight, and delivery for enterprise capability management, including execution of the build, buy, partner capability. This role consistently communicate, builds trust, and collaborates closely with executives, senior leaders, and external stakeholders to help guide key decisions on capabilities, process, and overall delivery of solutions. The manager is successful in identifying, including, and engaging key constituents and stakeholders to support and promote the business capability and value lifecycle management and execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the effort to work with business leaders to identify business capability needs and prioritization.
Develop a business capabilities architecture strategy for the enterprise based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations.
Apply a structured business and value capabilities approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business and IT in the context of the enterprise.
Capture the strategic business goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance.
Describe the primary business functions of the enterprise (and/or assigned business unit), and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution, and business management functions.
Enumerate, analyze, catalog, and suggest improvements to the strategic, core, and support processes of the enterprise (or assigned business unit), as needed to support strategic and operational goals.
Define the data elements shared across the enterprise and between business units, and the relationships between those data elements and processes, systems, technology, and other data elements.
Enumerate, analyze, and suggest improvements to the structural relationships of the business.This requires the creation and maintenance of an ongoing model of roles, capabilities, and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the interplay between these units in various business processes, materials, and systems.
Lead business leaders through the development of a business capabilities plan for the enterprise (and/or assigned business unit). Evaluate and present information that will facilitate effective and timely decision-making through written and oral communication materials that effectively summarize findings with recommendations.
Act as a subject matter expert in the development of business/value management framework development, tool suite selection, and design and methodology development.
Work closely with customers to identify key business drivers and conduct business value assessments for our largest deals
Build in-depth analyses to quantify business value that can be achieved through our products.
Become an expert in the BC&V Information Management offerings, selling methodology while driving adoption.

Assist with ongoing field enablement efforts with value selling training, knowledge management.
An exceptionally strong presenter with demonstrated experience in client-facing role or working with C-suite executives.
Passionate about coaching other and comfortable working and leading cross-functional teams

Formal Education & Certification
College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, finance, or information systems, and five years of related work experience.
Experienced in 6+ years working in a related field with 4+ years experience in: running business value assessments; management consulting or IT consulting with proven track record of advising senior business stakeholders; enterprise sales or other equivalent experience
Someone who holds a BA in Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Finance, or other analytical field required, MBA or other advanced degree strongly preferred
Outstanding in your analytical abilities, verbal, and written communication skills
Knowledge & Experience
Excellent understanding of the organizations strategy and strategic goals.
Demonstrated knowledge of the organizations core business processes and operations, along with the strategic use of technology to drive business strategy.
Proven experience with business and technical requirements analyses, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development.
Ability to communicate up and down the management chain, providing the appropriate level of detail and focus on the right information.
Extensive experience with developing strategic plans.
Proven experience in systems design and development.
Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
Solid grounding in core enterprise applications, including SAP, MS Dynamics.
Strong knowledge of hardware and software evaluation principles and practice.
Proven project planning and management experience.
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
Consulting and relationship management experience working with customers and/or partners.
