Position: Principal Application Administrator Location: Boston, MA - Hybrid Job Type: Direct Hire
Job Description Job Summary
The Principal Application Administrator will provide high-level technical support to several applications.
Responsible for the overall architecture, maintenance, configuration, data integrations, and integrity of the application administration to facilitate IT service delivery.
In addition, the Principal Application Administrator will recommend and implement strategies to improve performance of application and services.
Provide technical leadership, coaching, and training to junior staff.
Essential Functions
Provide application administration and technical support for all applications including but not limited to the EMR, Billing, Lab, PACS systems. (30%)
Provide application administration and technical support for data integrations (10%)
Train and educate other staff for the purposes of establishing a backup resource for applications (10%)
Train and educate other users on the applications and peripheral devices as needed (10%)
Responsibilities for all of the above including application administration, technical support, data integrations, and application database architecture (40%)
Minimum Required Experience, Education, Background, And Certifications/Licenses
Knowledge and experience typically acquired through High school education and 8+ years of experience managing enterprise class applications
Work closely with program directors, project managers and stakeholders to design and develop working solutions that are aligned with design principles, governance, resources and project plans to achieve successful outcomes
Broad knowledge of application architectures and environments
Extensive hands-on experience with installing, configuring, and deploying enterprise applications and services
Vast experience with application administration, complex data integrations, and application support
Able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve requests and issues in a highly complex environment
Proficient with application UI's and core business processes with the ability to trace issues back to the underlying technical environment
Demonstrated ability to develop relationships with customers and stakeholders across the organization
Strong skills to facilitate, coordinate, communicate (verbally and written), and oversee all aspects of application support and delivery while providing world class customer service
Competent in Windows and Linux environments
Strong RDMS, SQL, and PL/SQL skills for Oracle and SQL Server
Experience with Crystal Reports
Additional Preferred Experience, Education, etc.
Knowledge and experience typically acquired through bachelor’s degree and
8 to 10 years with managing enterprise class applications of experience in a managing a parking operation
Leadership skills with the ability to technically steer projects through all stages of a project and software development life cycle
