Position:  Senior Epic Ambulatory Analyst 
Location:  Hybrid,  112 Worcester Street,  Wellesley Hills, MA 02481
Job Type: Direct Hire

This Senior Epic Analyst will be responsible for:
  • Senior Resource. Serves as a subject-matter expert of the EpicCare Ambulatory application, particularly as it pertains to lab build. Mitigates risks by proactively seeking guidance from senior team members or management on unusual or highly complex issues.
  • Business Solutions. Engages internal subject-matter experts in decision making. Conducts extensive analyses to identify root causes of complex problems. Presents recommendations to senior team member or management. Leverages deep knowledge of supported areas to design and implement effective solutions, engaging vendors as necessary. Proposes significant optimizations and enhancements to supported applications
  • Troubleshooting. Typically conducts initial scoping of more complex requests. Leads or investigates and resolves complex tickets that cross supported applications or encompass a broader process.
  • Build. Performs advanced configuration to address business needs. Modifies builds incorporating significant edits, new functionality, cross-application integrations, complex logic, etc. Such changes may impact large numbers and all levels of user workflows. May assist in preparing user documentation. Performs or leads unit system testing and integrated testing.
  • Integrations. Manages the implementation of application changes with third party vendors to ensure integration. Maintains, upgrades and tests associated third party integrations.
  • Upgrades and Maintenance. Owns and reviews release notes to identify and recommend to management the prioritization of new features or enhancements to implement. Communicates major changes to project team and customers. Creates, maintains and updates integrated test scripts with each upgrade. Performs ongoing system maintenance.
  • Communications. Participates in presentations or updates to leadership. Engages in ongoing communications with multiple teams related to supported application and operational processes. May facilitate team meetings to discuss the status of deliverables, shared issues, end-users concerns and upcoming milestones. Represents the team in internal/external meetings.
  • User Training. May provide input to training curriculum. May provide specialty training to user groups.
  • Leadership. Provides feedback to management on policies, procedures and best practices. Mentors less experienced team members. Manages project work ensuring completion according to schedule. Closely coordinates with assigned project manager when work involves multiple teams.
  • Professional development. May present at Epic forums, attends Epic related conferences, trainings at Epic for additional certifications, or internal offerings.
In order to qualify, you must have:
  • EpicCare Ambulatory certification.
  • Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) certificate and work experience with Lab Mapping, Lab Compendium Maintenance, lab error queue maintenance, base name and common name maintenance preferred.
  • 3 years of experience directly involved in post-certification complex Epic build, 5 years preferred.
  • Epic application end user support.
  • Providing input to training curriculum or materials.
  • Subject matter expert in EpicCare Ambulatory and expertise in complex lab build
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, be highly detailed and organized.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing demands and define and manage to realistic goals
  • Be skilled at guiding and educating others within and across Epic and operational teams.
  • Ability to effectively apply process improvement methodologies.
  • Problem solving skills, be a critical thinker and make data-based decisions.
