Description:

We are looking for a creative, scientific and methodical Designer to join our growing team. The Sr. UI Designer will work on engaging, interactive design projects for patient monitoring and system projects. He / she will be responsible for the transference of product’ s requirements, customer analysis, and clinical research into a device interface that enhances the user’ s experience. The Designer will create the UI Design Specifications by leveraging the global design guide for all of Draeger medical products. He / she is responsible for guiding the software teams to create a user experience that is intuitive, responsive and consistent across different platforms and modalities.   • Create user interface prototypes and visual designs for patient monitoring portfolio
  • Work daily in Sketch and Principle prototyping tools, to support outline of flowcharts, usability testing and software development
  • Develop and maintain Graphical User Interface Specifications, with an emphasis on the visual design
  • Collaborate and work closely with global Draeger UI/UX teams to brainstorm innovative ideas, and to ensure consistency across different platforms and modalities by contributing to and complying with the unified Draeger UI corporate style guide
  • Work with Product Managers and Clinical Engineers to develop intuitive and engaging user-centered UI experiences through analyzing clinical and consumer marketing research
  • Champion good design practices for common components, symbols and design libraries
  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas to software developers, clinical engineers, and product managers
  • Support Usability Testing in collaboration with Clinical Engineers and Product Managers
  • Develop and deliver products and services from concept to final version that improve the overall user experience
  • Performs other duties as needed and assigned

 

Qualifications

Education: BS in a design discipline; Masters a plus. Human factors engineering or information science credentials also encouraged to apply.

 

Related Experience:
  • 5+ years’ experience in UI design and development. Experience with mobile device applications preferred
  • Strong visual design background
  • Proficient with design and prototyping tools including Sketch and Principle (Axure a plus)
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator
  • Experience in design of medical devices and knowledge of healthcare practices preferred
  • Must have experience with branding and working with corporate style guide
  • Familiar with usability testing, consumer marketing research and analysis
  • Design agency experience preferred
  • Portfolio of work required for consideration
