JOB DESCRIPTION
  • This position is responsible for the overall design, implementation, maintenance and support of our Linux development platform environment, software distribution infrastructure and software lifecycle management.
  • Additional responsibilities include support of project development teams, clinical engineers, service engineers, quality engineers, test personnel, documentation, and operations groups to ensure quality standards are met and product development timelines are met or exceeded.
  • This is a hands-on role where the candidate is expected to code, design, test and help lead Linux and Linux platform related product features.

Your Qualifications
  • BS Computer Science or Electrical Engineering required; MS Computer Science or Electrical
  • Engineering preferred.

Related Experience:
  • 15+ years previous hands on experience in software design, analysis and trouble shooting in an engineering environment
  • Solid technical knowledge of software engineering in product development using C/C++
  • Embedded systems design and development knowledge
  • Agile software development experience
  • Extensive knowledge of Linux (CentOS)
  • Expert level knowledge in TCP/IP, UDP, Unicast, and Multicast networking protocols

Special Competencies or Certifications:
  • Object Oriented Database design and development
  • Patient Monitoring experience – Specifically Central Station
  • Working knowledge of software installation technologies
  • Understanding of Secure coding practices and system hardening technologies/approaches.
